I guess the take away here is that anything Doug's government does is bad by default, even if it's much needed transit.

Good things take time. I'd rather they had a cost effective temporary structure than not. Expecting an architectural marvel for a temporary use like this would piss me off more.

Beginning to think battery form factor standardization would go a long way for consumer costs and safety.

At $50k+ for certification having to hit a bunch of form factors makes it impossible to provide competitive offerings. Also, I know nothing about e-bike manufacturing so there's that.
