And tonight as I left synagogue we were instructed to go straight home, not to linger around the building and under no circumstances to leave as a group. I am heartbroken, tired and angry.

Last night after we left synagogue, my partner, a friend, and I were discussing what we knew would be an inevitable attack. We were saying “we know there will be an attack. We just don’t know where.” Got this text from my partner this morning.

In Hebrew both terms exist but like in English near east disappeared and Middle East has been accepted as “our location”

You are probably right that he might well want to stand on the sideline but I struggle to imagine a scenario that doesn’t end up with him becoming PM if Labour carries on the way it does.

That has been one of the novel sensory experiences of parenting. I never had someone putting their mouth 2 centimetres from my face and copiously coughing at me until I had my son. Or putting their fingers up my nose. The things you don’t think about until you reach toddler parenting phase.

I know it’s not just about us but reading it as a clear attack on the millions of eu citizens who got settled status/naturalised post Brexit. ☹️

I didn’t miss needing a ticket worth hundreds of pounds to get in or not being able to join in because it’s controlled by a bunch of big corps that have absolutely no interest in LGBT rights.
It reminded me of the Paris Pride events of my childhood and was so happy to take my son there.

I miss many things about London but Pride isn’t one of them. I was so impressed by the Nuremberg pride this weekend. Dozens of thousands of people marching (it didn’t feel small town-ish or provincial, felt like a proper city Pride), a political event, while being still a fun lighthearted one.

Yeah don’t get me wrong I don’t think this is the right answer at all. I just think it reflects a legit issue in lack of faith in charities operating there.

To be fair I think part of the problem is that I am not sure there are that many obviously better ways. A lot of the charities operating there are at the mercy of Hamas. So I understand the desire to want to send your money straight to those trying to feed their families.

Really fascinating developments in the “other place”. The French far right is losing their shit because Grok is going “woke” and comparing their new guru (billionaire Pierre-Édouard Sterin) to Hitler and saying policies that favour white families over non-white ones are unethical.

Don’t you get offended by the number of questions about France when you have left as a teenager and I am guessing you have almost lived longer here than there?
