I keep journals on a quasi-periodic basis. (much like Al-Mn) I’ve thrown out only one (I’m 62), but still have two or three that I won’t look at.

No. I truly cannot believe we have a measles outbreak.

So many parents, researchers, and social workers spent so much time and effort to eradicate measles. I am grateful for an entire generation growing up without the fear of this disease.
I hope that we can return to that time.

Sure, tariffs are gonna cause some short term pain, but remember over the long run they will also cause pain. And the medium run.

These days, most of my motivation to learn new things comes from answering student questions and reading web-comics.

Sometimes students need the urgency of a test.
Sometimes they get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of topics available.
And it’s hard to know how deep to dig into a topic and how many connections to make with other topics.

I’ve been a HS and MS math and physics teacher for 31 yr.
The software is great. I love introducing topics with Khan Academy, then fielding questions.
I’ve also used it myself to review math I haven’t done in two decades and to learn some new things.
But…
There does seem to be something missing.

I will do whatever Cassandra wants after this boss move!
