We didn't get to where we are out of thin air. There is an entire history of bad choices we made as a country and Trump is just one (of likely many more to come) to take advantage of the broken system we built. The system does harm no matter who is in power.

They can focus messaging however they want, but when they start to form alliances with people who refuse to recognize human rights, like Gavin Newsom has, then they are no longer welcome in public office. This is just my individual opinion but I'm not the only one that feels that way.

The 'cultural' issues at stakes are basic rights guaranteed by the Constitution. We cannot allow one step back on that, no matter what or there's no point to any of this. I agree about the economic angle.
