It looks to be a part of Google Chrome, not Canvas. So unless the student is using a University provided laptop (or some other University-controlled device) there won't be much to implement.

AI is ummasking ICE officers. Can Washington do anything about it? A new twist in the debate over surveillance tech raises

β€œAn activist has started using artificial intelligence to identify Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents beneath their masks β€” a use of the technology sparking new political concerns over AI-powered surveillance.”

β€œIn the late 1960s, Dr. Rossiter was working on her Ph.D. at Yale, when a comment from one of her male professors puzzled her. Who, she had asked, were the women in science? There were none, he said. Another professor mumbled something about Marie Curie being the exception.β€πŸ™ƒ

Just toss them into a group of behavior scientists. Change the (social) contingencies, change the behavior.

I understand the impulse to say, "These people have agency", when wanting to place moral blame on individual actors, even who are working within a system.

But it is technically incorrect. The truth is that *we do not know the contingencies operating on their learning histories*. 1/

Japanese American groups blast use of Fort Bliss, former internment camp site, as ICE detention center Japanese American groups criticized the construction of a new immigrant detention center in Texas at a military base that was used during World War II to imprison people of Japanese descent.

"National Security" was the same argument our government used 80 years ago to justify the immoral internment of people of Japanese descent at this very military base.

It was wrong then, it’s wrong now.

If you say something in context, they’ll take it right out. If you say it before a law is passed, they’ll circulate it afterwards. If you comply with their demands they’ll complain about the tone in which you complied. And if all else fails, they’ll make shit up. Anything to keep the machine going.
