3D topographic map of the contiguous United States. The map shows exaggerated elevation, with the western states, particularly the Rocky Mountains, appearing much higher and more rugged than the relatively flat eastern and central regions. The contrast is stark, with the western third of the country depicted in vibrant greens, yellows, and browns representing high elevations, while the rest of the country is shown in shades of blue, indicating lower elevations. This visualization dramatically illustrates the geographical divide between the mountainous west and the flatter eastern regions of the US.
