Great review. So often I was mesmerized just watching the characters’ mouths move. Overall you get a sense of so much emotion, atmosphere, etc. despite the limited detail

Forgot to mention this game features some cool retro music and sound pack by @megahammerstudios.bsky.social … i think I successfully utilized all the slower paced stuff suitable for an adventure game …unless I add a space invaders mini game or something 😄

Outside game development, I enjoy using Python and have a lot web development experience. Not much Godot experience yet but GDScript is nice for the similarities. I still have never used C++ .. maybe something with that or unreal someday.

Rust interests me just because I’m a Neil Young fan! I might checkout Bevy sometime just to get a feel for it. Curious if people have other thoughts on what’s worth diving into these days.

The #Popochui plugin for Godot is another fine choice. What I like about both of these tools is the scripting focus and extensibly with their engines. For the time investment, it’s good to get some transferable knowledge as well as flexibility to do more with it when you’re ready.

For adventure game curious, I can’t recommend #PowerQuest enough for both the engine and the small community led by @dave.powerhoof.com Although I had neither experience in Unity or C#, it was easy to use as a pane of glass over Unity.
