Stocked up some of my favorites and gifted myself the @flomask.bsky.social for Christmas.

In last few months I’ve had lots of med appts.
I always wear my elastomeric @flomask.bsky.social.
Save for invasive procedures, where effective (nonsurgical) masking is fairly good, most all other clinicians wear surgical/no mask.
I never mention masking.
Yet staff mask #s increase when I must stay.

I started wearing a @flomask.bsky.social when I was trying to keep my late wife safe while we fought stage 4 small cell lung cancer.

I've continued wearing it in crowded situations and on public transit…and I have not had a cold or flu since, let alone a symptomatic case of covid.

What one day of 8 hours indoor masking in higher ed + 1hr30 roundtrip on BART looks like. The filter on the left was the one I used yesterday and it's next to the new one I'm putting in today. Normally usually go two to three days with one but running events so swapping more. @flomask.bsky.social

If I have to see a dr-whether in office or at the hospital-I wear my maximum protection. 1/4 face elastomeric (Flomask)-you have to ask staff and doctors to wear a mask-as if one can pretend a virus away-Covid is still a thing-& flu looks like it could be bad this year-ordered Flu A+B and C19 tests.

Some take tablets and water, some take water, salt, and vinegar. I prefer the non-tablet kind because I don’t want to run out like in early COVID when disinfectants were difficult to get. Vinegar and salt are two things I always have.

Black xpower branded cold fogger on a white background. I love this thing. It sprays a fine mist of whatever you put in - I use it for HOCl to clean items coming into the house. Started when mpox was spreading, but it’s just an easy habit now.

I haven't said it in a while but Flo-mask is the most robust, comfortable, performant respirator I've ever tried. Protected me through 4 hospital stays. Good company, good people too.

They don't pay me. They don't know me. But I couldn't go out in public without them.

glad to see you are still around-I am no longer on X-inasmuch as I am trying to avoid exposure to pathogens whether viral, bacterial or virtual. Still wearing my Flomask-still no Covid, flu, common cold, RSV or gastroenteritis. Hope you are holdin'....

Love my Flomask! When I wear it overseas, so many people ask me where they can get one. In a NZ hospital last week, the staff commented, “wouldn’t it be great if we got these?” And then laughing at the absurdity of the NZ system giving a crap about their medical staff. (They struck the day after.) 😢

2 FloMask Filters, upper is new and bright white, lower one ist used and very dark. next to it an empty package of the ProFilter I'm using.

Filter meiner #FloMask gewechselt. Jedesmal krass zu sehen, was das Ding ausmacht.

Ich lebe in ner Großstadt und arbeite am Flughafen. Einiges an Feinstaub hier, welchen ich dadurch nicht einatme.

ÖPNV und Einkaufen natürlich auch nur mit Maske 😷.

Das gute ist auch, das Cover der FloMask hat Tochter mit Acrylfarbe selbst dekoriert.
