RE the Ange interview. I am amazed that CEOs of clubs do not have NDAs in place for employees of mid to upper level management.

If we appoint a sub par interim, of which I’d place JH,JC and RM, with a gran pland getting the DoF in place, then I think we get relegated and all this planning counts for nought.
Which means, we probably need to appoint a highly competent coach asap, who will want ‘their guys’ which doesn’t make

We are now in a catch 22 / perpetual ‘check’ situation.

Need a DoF,to appoint the coach, but need a competent coach now coz if we don’t we’re relegated. But what coach wants to have that pitched them? (‘Btw bub - you’re short term cos we’re getting a DoF who might make a change’)

We can smirk at Parker, Edwards , Nuno etc, but all these are better than the possible interim options that have been touted for us.

I think we have to make a serious appointment now. The levels in the league are too high to bang an interim / squad coach in the role and expect to get away with it.
Mason/ Heitinga/ Cochrane if appointed would and should be considered the lowest ability coach across all the other teams.

All of this is correct but also flawed if we don’t get ourselves out of the relegation scrap.

Carrick is a coach in an interim role, he’s not some first team coach who has been bumped.

Does ‘make a change’ imply they have someone already in place?

These are the usual fodder.

Hopefully they have someone in place right away. And I don’t think an interim is going to city it in this league.

Very good take. The best have both. You can get far with one or the other. And you can blag either one for a while. But you can’t have neither.
