The way "student life" is marketed to the median suburban american who is desperately wants a better life for their kid and is rapidly forgetting that you can engage in the world in manner other than consuming - all the while draining "academia" any remaining substance is so sad and demoralising

This pocket in particular is a little tricky because it's on a dart. Im not sure how other people handle this because it seems like it shifts the dimensions of the pocket to not really want to lay flat

Welt pocket I worked on this weekend. I dont have interfacing - I just backed it with the lining material - and I wasn't able to keep the material from fraying on the corners so I hand-sewed a tack around the corners as well

Spent a little reading about pattern making. Starting out with a pretty ambitious project. A blanket lined denim coat. The lining is really heavy so I’m quilting it in green silk. I decided to add a cuff with the selvedge
