MCAS, probably from birth, is made a lot worse by environmental toxins. She takes 4 antihistamines including compounded ketotifen (expensive) in very high doses to keep her skin from peeling off & to keep limited food down. "I dont have access to health insurance, even though that is mandatory where I was born.Because people with Lyme and ME/CFS are routinely denied healthcare, persecuted, and jailed in psychiatric hospitals. That is why I became a traveler/refugee. That is why my mom, who still lives there, is deep in debt. Because there was never gov. support or funding for me, not even welfare." Azine's informal free housing arrangement is about to end abruptly. We don't know when; it could be at any time. We need to raise money to get her into an Airbnb as quickly as we can manage.

We don't have the resources for long-term solutions, so I'm just keeping her alive as long as I can.

I've been struggling financially since September due to the tariffs.

My business Bibipins is in trouble. Not only am I making less sales and with smaller amounts. But people have been refusing their orders (which I don't get back) due to the tariff costs & wanting full refunds.

I'm excited by any progress - but right now "bone glue" is my hyper fixation 🤣

Amanda is one of the best of us. An organizer disabled by Long COVID who's helped a bunch of others get housed. I helped her get housed after she first became disabled, at no small cost to myself.

Remember, it's MUCH less expensive to prevent homelessness than it is to reverse it.

Azine needs about $20 urgently for food and medical supplies. More would be better.

We managed to raise enough for Madeline's health insurance that she was able to make a deal, but Azine needs medical supplies & at this point I'm not only flat broke, but also in debt to her pharmacy.

Might be too early to tell at this point, but the GI-Immune-Neuro-inflam connection is a crucial area of focus. The new ME/CSF genetic research might also help add more insights

So, I agree with everything here, but I also want to add that there is a medication that can slow (and possibly prevent) the onset of T1DM in some patients.

That med is ≈$200k for a 14 day course of treatment, and that doesn’t include the cost of the infusion services necessary to administer it!
