My interest in this “Democrats” group was piqued when the Koch-funded FIRE, which defends right-wing interests, rushed to its side in Illinois.

So I took a look at what makes this group “Democats.” Their public filings and website provide no substantiation. We asked them directly … and got no reply

Yep. The absurdity of media's slobbering over Trump's "stand up" stunt is that many people view *ICE* as posing more of a threat than immigrants do.

Kansas did something unusually aggressive. But the version where you just quietly force trans people to carry documents that contradict who they are? That’s unacceptable. It's discriminatory. It's meant to eliminate trans people's privacy.

Kansas just invalidated the drivers licenses of every trans person in the state. They’re being told to surrender their current licenses and get new ones listing their birth sex. No grace period. Get caught driving with your now-invalid license and you’re looking at jail and a fine.

He's not the only one. ICE/CBP/DHS have been dropping legal residents and citizens in the woods of Minnesota after detaining them instead of returning them to their homes. The local hospitals in the twin cities had a bunch of frostbite and hypothermia cases from this

nationally, it’s ≈ 6% each year; in minnesota it’s like ≈ 2.5%

we know this is vindictive at this point

It’s not just Medicaid funding they’re withholding to MN. It’s food assistance, child care assistance, social services, job training, safety testing, public health, disaster relief. SNAP. Free lunch for kids in school.

They hate us for loving our neighbors, and are collectively punishing us for it.

The War on Drugs is just a way to corner the market. Always has been.

This is a campaign of retribution. Trump is weaponizing the entirety of the federal government to punish blue states like Minnesota.

Important insight. ALSO, I have no patience (and I mean ZERO) with people who say "they won't ban birth control." They will eventually try BECAUSE WHAT THEY WANT IS TO CONTROL YOUR BODILY AUTONOMY. We need to be proactive about BODILY AUTONOMY IN GENERAL.
