🦖 Living Fossils🦖

Triops are sometimes considered “living fossils,” since fossils from hundreds of millions of years ago have been attributed to the genus.

It is suggested that Triops evolved during the Triassic or Jurassic periods, between 152-233 million years ago!

Featuring Triops, or the Tadpole Shrimp! 🦐

This is an ancient genus whose adaptations have allowed them to persist for millions of years!
