๐บ๐ฆ Mostly just here for nice pictures.
Wow, great shot!
16.02.2026 11:41 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Well, I'd stay for your pictures, too. But... you get the idea. ๐
10.02.2026 18:46 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I followed you for your pictures, but I stay for your commentary. ๐
10.02.2026 18:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Your pictures have given me such an appreciation for these strange, and strangely beautiful birds. Can't get enough of them. ๐This set is especially good!

06.02.2026 22:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Sometimes I think that if I ever suddenly grew a pair of wings, I'd know how to use them without lessons - your photos are such perfect records of flight, that I think I'd know exactly what to do. ๐๐
06.02.2026 17:32 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The incredible tolerance to cold some animals have always makes me feel like a flawed/failed animal. How can I be so hopelessly unable to survive under the huge range of conditions that a raccoon can manage? I know the usual answers to that, but the feeling these pictures give me still persists. ๐
01.02.2026 15:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I can tell exactly what sound he made because you spelled it perfectly ๐
29.01.2026 16:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Hello, Loran! You couldn't have picked a better guest bathroom in which to recover and thrive. ๐
28.01.2026 22:38 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Great, thanks, now that song is stuck in my head ๐
24.01.2026 20:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think I've heard that as well.
24.01.2026 19:27 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That I had to look up. ๐ Found what sounds like a good description of the mechanics at sussexwildlifetrust.org.uk/news/can-dra....
24.01.2026 19:27 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ability to fly backwards maybe?
24.01.2026 19:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Maybe stop rubbing bacon grease and honey on the cameras?

23.01.2026 22:43 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah, that's phenomenal. He must be a professional. I'd love to see more of his work!
23.01.2026 21:59 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Well that's an interesting stalk! This seems uncommon - would that be typical of this genus?
23.01.2026 15:41 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yep, one of my all-time favorite pictures, and has been my desktop background since I first saw it. Which keeps me motivated to keep my files and folders organized so they don't hide the picture. ๐
22.01.2026 16:58 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I totally agree - there's something so painterly about this!
22.01.2026 16:56 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah, that's outstanding. :-)
19.01.2026 00:05 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I need to know what "private entertainment" is. ๐ค
17.01.2026 22:56 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0And one of our cats is irritated that I'm paying attention to your cats instead of her. ๐
17.01.2026 22:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oh, someone needs to turn this into a painting! ๐
17.01.2026 01:03 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yeah, this is a really exceptional shot!
17.01.2026 00:36 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah, I think that - technically - you can't enshittify that which is already shit.
๐
Nice finish! What caused that, do you think?
And I like the increasingly "smeared" plant in the background. :-)
Nice ear tufts. :-) Is there any hypothesized function for ear tufts, or is it just "one of those things" that arise by happenstance, maybe as a result of other adaptive features.
One of our cats has excellent ear tufts, and it always makes me wonder.
I'm really hoping you're going to answer that question for us. ๐
09.01.2026 20:57 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah, same here. I can't come up with an explanation why it would matter...
07.01.2026 02:34 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0What about angle of flash relative to the camera?
