Reading through the NGE wiki and its really funny how the series has a bunch of concepts and terms that aren't explain save that the creator thought they look/sound cool

This is not a condemnation, way more creators should do that. Over-explination is dumb and boring

I played through this game a couple years ago for backlog clearing. Pretty fun!

Also the game crashed part way through the ending and I really did not want to refight the final boss so I called it there.

It's telling you to redownload it from Virtual Game Cards. Try going in there and look for DOOM 1 + 2 in there.

Still some convoluted maps and cheap enemy placement present, tho. Next time I return to Doom 1+2 (which will probably be a bit) will be with the Master Levels!

#31 - DOOM II (Steam)

Honestly, I'm in the camp of liking this more than the first. I feel the level design is more interesting at times, I like the new enemies they introduced, and the difficulty is fairly alright. Plus some kickass tunes and visuals.

More games need to let you unlock the characters old lowpoly model. I unlocked this in Hitman and I haven't used anything else since

So from I know of how thus game is built, for some reason the level ahead didn't load in time so you just fell through and triggered a bottomless pit death.
