There's a bill on Gavin Newsom's desk right now that would stop monopoly utility companies from adding the costs of their lobbying and PR campaigns into customers' bills.

It's unclear if Newsome will sign the bill, despite 93% of voters agreeing with its premise.

If Democrats want to win voters with policies that avert catastrophic climate change, they need to bring immediate, material benefits to the working class. That means folding climate policies into an agenda that tackles the cost-of-living crisis. This is green economic populism. Even under Mr. Trump, progressives can build momentum around this agenda in cities, towns and states.

directly at a protester (which I’m 99% is a major policy violation.)

4. If you want to be on the news, you need to actually MAKE NEWS. Imagine, really imagine, Dem after Dem after Dem saying "listen, I am an absolute NO on this MAGA Murder Budget. I cannot in any way allow this life ending bill to pass." News media would cover that repetition.

Dems make believe message that "works," defined again as approval/disapproval, in captive setting translates to real world, where Job #1 is get people to stop scrolling long enough to hear you at all. Reps test for what garners attention and makes salient what they need folks to believe.
