The slow realization that the reason for all the holodeck mishaps in Star Trek, including half the the holodeck villains going rampant, is because every holodeck simulation was basically vibe coded.

Dan Da Dan is definitely the first Anime i’ve watched where i’d confidently say that the differences between English and Japanese dubs are purely a matter of how the character archetypes tend to present in general in various media, if not also IRL, between Japanese and Western cultures.

but more importantly, listening to the other characters i gotta say that the english version definitely seems to keep the core of all the characters pretty dang close to the Japanese. like, the biggest difference is that Seiko’s voice is a smidge deeper and slightly more gravely.

just rewatched part of this week’s Dan Da Dan to see if the Exorcism song was any different in Japanese and was pleasantly surprised to find it’s exactly the same just in Japanese.
