The fact that this basic point seems to elude so many when it’s literally happening in real time in the US and in the media every day is…quite something

This is complete rubbish. If there’s 100k+ documents then so be it. And the idea that the Met shouldn’t independently open an investigation into misconduct in a public office is absurd

But Reform would destroy integrity in two minutes flat and it would be crickets in the media

Ooh mama will not come to play πŸ”₯

The idea that Galloway is anti-racist is pure brain rot

You’re just struggling to accept the type of people the Greens are willing to appease, you’ll realise one day

02.02.2026 23:27 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

As the post above says, β€œWhatever electoral calculation, a serious political error for anyone on the left to praise even elements of Galloway's vile party”

The Greens, opportunist? Never!

Completely despicable

02.02.2026 22:16 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

OK but let’s just be clear that Reform do this sort of thing on the daily

Labour should act on indexation at the next Budget, obviously that raises questions about how it’s funded but the indexation could continue to change over time - it doesn’t all have to be done at once

The problem is Reeves sounds like she’s defending the Tory/LD changes which she voted against and were always destined to blow up in this way, and the Greens want to move the debate on to student debt cancellation (which is a different issue to indexation and just more fantasy thinking from them)

It’s just wishful thinking and narcissism all reinforced by social media

Hmm Kamala Harris should be prepping Labour and the LDs for the debates in the next GE, she bossed her debate with Trump

I ain’t reading all that, but I’m not happy and sorry this happened

β€œKemi Badenoch is free to return to the political mainstream”

…but in reality will do no such thing

So because those affected couldn’t be bothered to do the bare minimum of retirement planning, there has to be yet *another* transfer of wealth from the working age population to boomers? Pull the other one. And how are you proposing this should be paid for?

Aren’t these people at least seven years too late?

There was simply no plan for what to do about the mayoral by-election, which (unlike losing to Reform in Gorton) could have meant Reform exercising real power. Frightening. A job swap with Lucy Powell in 2028 makes much more sense

25.01.2026 21:40 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yes exactly, I think a β€˜job swap’ with Lucy Powell in 2028 makes the most sense

25.01.2026 13:02 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

There just seems to be a familiar pattern of:

-Politicians recognise fiscal context and need for reform, returning controls and conditionality to the system
-Everybody just says β€œmore money needed” when it isn’t coming and accuses them of them being heartless/right-wing/not understanding anything

When the NYT is doing much better than the BBC then we’re in real trouble

This is just the fantasy that there can’t ever be any sensible controls on migration. I wonder how that will go down in Gorton and Denton πŸ™„

24.01.2026 23:22 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

The BBC is *rapidly* losing credibility. I know everybody says this all the time but where the fuck is Nandy?

24.01.2026 23:19 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That’s a big if given their horrendous narcissism, despite the fascist threat

24.01.2026 21:04 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

There’s no point just opposing any and all reform though. Given the fiscal context reform is inevitable, so it can either be done by Labour or the radical right
