I just realized how dumb I've been from this picture. I have been struggling with huge buildups of dog hair, and am currently lint rolling my couch every morning. At the same time I've been considering getting more blankets. The setup you have is both the coziest AND machine washable 😮😮😮

That's kinda the beauty of it. It flips the social norm of expected solitude and isolation to expected sharing and community. Just for one night. It's like a neighbor asking to borrow a cup of sugar as a holiday

I feel like I say this every year but I really need people to hear it. Halloween is the best American holiday. Just kids outside welcomed into their world, marching around together, showing off their costumes to the elderly, parents meeting parents, neighbors catching up with neighbors.

Every party I've gone to I always find myself ready to go like 30 minutes before I should leave so I'm all dressed up just to wait around for a while. Especially pronounced on Halloween lol
