I've got my second spindle from Spindeleien (pictured in the back). Shop owner Ulrich is well known for recycling different things like drawer handles, spindle tops or even rubber wheels.

It's time to learn some cotton spinning.

I really like them both but if I'm forced to choose I would go for the low contrast one.

Usually I store my skeins in hanks because there won't be that much tension on the yarn than I would keep them in cakes. I don't see much difference in both options personally but of course it could be a matter of storage space too.

I've treated myself with homemade waffles w/ applesauce after I've wasted so much time to follow a pattern.
Intarsia won't be my fave, so I've split the instructions in manageable steps for my brain. It may involve more sewing, but at least there's a high chance I'll finish it.

A dear friend of mine reminded me the other day that my fibery photos bring her a lot of joy. It’s been difficult to find joy lately with the rough road my life has taken over the past several months, but I cherish knowing that my photos can bring even a little spark of light to others around me. 🧶

Today is ply-day 🧶

This set was sleeping in my WIP basket for way too long. I even forgot which fiber ist is... I'm pretty sure there's Zwartbles in it, becuse I can sense a specific scent from it (generally I'm living with olfactory blindness)

It really depends where I'm spinning. At home I prefer my supported spindles, mostly Tibetian or Russian styles. When I'm on the road, I love my crossarm spindles because they're so portable. It's so easy to pick them up to make something useful while waiting for the train.

Zwartbles is my favourite fiber to work with. I hope you'll have a cheerful spinning time.

Y'all know that pesky little waiting times? Think of this sneaky little liar called washing maschine which is telling us for half an hour it's finished in less than a minute.

Thank you ❤️ These are supported spindles. You'll let them spinning in a bowl on your lap or on a surface of your choice, keeping a finger or the palm of your hand at the tip of the spindle to balance it.

My current spinning project is the TdF24 calendar from Regenbogenwolle. Every floof nugget contains a bit of a different sheep breed.

For knitting I'm making sweater from HHF Tweedy.
