del Toro's 'Frankenstein' commendably follows the novel in establishing the Creature's gentle affinity with nature and animals, then completely throws the point away by depicting a wolf pack as clichéd horror film monsters. The whole film could do with more Shelley and less Hollywood wizz-bang.
