Congratulations to @nathan-alcock.bsky.social on successfully obtaining his PhD studying actinide electronic structure and bonding with resonant inelastic X-ray scattering. His thesis work includes this paper pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/... and others that will follow shortly.

Last week, we welcomed the first external users (University of Glasgow) of our cryostat for actinide samples. The team conducted HERFD using I18 and the Active Materials Lab at Diamond Light Source @diamondlightsource.bsky.social
