Maybe it’s just me…but if you feel you’re entitled to hurl abuse at players at a game of football they are equally entitled to a right of reply and a different opinion to yours, whether that point is made from the pitch or on social media.

Brilliant chase from South Africa and a superb innings from De Klerk. Some good knocks this week including Mooney and Knight. Still think it’s Australia’s cup, they are ruthless and relentless.

Worth every mile! First game of the season for me…now considering another road trip in a fortnight!

In a season filled with dire performances, tonight was truly abysmal. Just nowhere near good enough.

Agreed. There were a couple of occasions where players were calling for a quick release. Very good shot stopper, but can improve distribution (and command of area for me, but we can't have it all!)

Strange decision - I genuinely didn't think he was time wasting!

Hazard also good but lacked a sense of urgency at times. And the strangest home support I've ever seen. Not a peep from Watford until the 64th minute. Nice ground and surrounding area but terrible atmosphere.

Thoughts on today's game:

Pleggy MOM by a mile. Ref and assistants woeful. No lack of effort but all season we have made poor decisions when we need more intelligence/calmness. Puchacz worries me. As good as our travelling support is, some of our fans are awful. Pressure is telling on players.

So, Watford away tomorrow...relatively local for me and a new ground to tick off. Not expecting anything in terms of a result but I'm hoping to witness a performance of sorts to offer hope ahead of next season. I may be misguided in that hope...

400 mile round trip to watch that today. 3 minutes of attacking threat followed by woeful ineptitude. On the plus side, it’ll soon be the cricket season…

That was terrible. Hull were bad but we were so much worse. I said in October that I thought we’d go down - I’ve not seen enough to convince me that I was wrong. I’m driving down from Sussex for Saturday’s game but am dreading it.

Made a tidy profit on the Liverpool and Millwall games...

I don't have a problem with the way tickets are issued either - I can't justify the cost of a season ticket when I live so far away, so I try to get to as many matches as I can and contribute in other ways. Also got my ticket for Sheff Weds (h) and hoping to get to Portsmouth (a).

Got my ticket for the Man City game - having to sit in with the home fans for the first time in my life as I didn't think the Argyle tickets would make general sale. Far from ideal but a game I really want to be at. I missed Liverpool (all 3 recent games), Chelsea and Arsenal as an exile.

Got the old insomnia back tonight, so making the most of it - 1,000 words of the new novel making it a productive night so far! This latest book has been a really tough project to work on but I'm now feeling much more comfortable with where it's heading. About time too.

Loving the book recommendation email that Amazon just sent me...my first book, that I wrote back in 2019. You'd think the name on the front of the book would be a giveaway, wouldn't you?

Yep, I think some of them live for the drama. I just don’t get it.

It had better be true or I’ll have wasted an hour researching and writing a player profile for no reason at all!

You’ll be accused of being a ‘happy clapper’ if you’re not careful! There’s plenty in the world to be angry about. Football and Argyle, as much as I love both, are not even near the top of the list.

I think everyone feeds off each other’s negativity. Signings will either happen or they won’t and we’ll either be pleased or we won’t. Chucking insults and abuse around won’t make a rat’s arse of a difference!
