And I want to add how moved I was by talking to Councillor Tony Murphy, who lost his mom to a car crash. You could just hear where he was coming from. It gave weight to his take, "That people who have been impacted should have a bigger voice."

One story that didn't make it in: Noel Fleming, culture keeper of the Liberties, told me once he was giving a tour to students, and this was after the church removed the thousands of mass cards. Something caught his eye, he picked it up after: it was the old mass card for a close childhood friend.

I learned while writing this, often disabled spots are illegally taken by “two-minute people." Other times, Duncan Byrne told me, "They just think that, ‘Oh, I hurt my leg, therefore I can use it."

It’s actually not the same, though, Byrne said.

I found this really interesting to work on. There's obvious issues, no clear fixes, and people are really passionate.

Something I wrote. Since then, I keep noticing how many potholes I avoid without even registering them-- I just know I have to concentrate when cycling on Dublin's roads.
