The @nytimes.com reports that more than $81M has been spent on campaigns for tomorrow's supreme court justice election in WI (source: Brennan Center for Justice). Just imagine how much good could be done for the people of Wisconsin with $81M if we took money out of politics.

💯 this!!! The message that we're saving babies in foreign countries doesn't matter to Americans who feel left behind by their government. We have to make sure people understand that USAID buys us favor with countries that could otherwise assist our enemies.

Love getting cheese there - the Coastal Cheddar is always in my fridge, along with their big chunks of really high quality parmesan. Nuts are also a fantastic value - walnuts, pecans, etc. If you bake there's no better price for vanilla extract.

Just saw from @reuters.com that the US is considering banning TP-Link. Wonder how this will impact their Kasa and Tapo lines of smart home products. @nytwirecutter.bsky.social recommends their smart switches (of which I have a couple).
