Put the word out: HSG recognizes Palestine as a country. Their words.

This is going to sound very Applebees wait staff adjacent, but if we did send a delegation - Issa was not a part of it. His family and my own were taking our children to the same doctor’s office Monday afternoon and he was at HIR Saturday. It would feel strange for the GM to not be present for this.

If they have time for pleasantries, they have too much time for a good sandwich. You need to feel like the lowest priority of their life to be certain you’re about to get a bangin Reuben on rye

Darlington Nagbe became buy down eligible in December 2023. A team that was bounced in the first round changed nothing in the winter window. Self proclaimed “two windows ahead” GM had no plan for Cucho’s departure. Issa Tall killed the golden years.

If Issa Tall isn’t on the hot seat after tonight, then the hot seat doesn’t exist. Asleep at the wheel.

We paid Gressel about $350k and we don’t win a cup without him. I’ll take the cap hit for that trade.

Hagen on a free is just incredible work. “Since” Rossi is a big caveat because Ramirez and Gressel both vital in 2023 MLS cup.

Did yall see house Dems laugh at MTG? That was so funny haha. Almost as funny as doing literally anything as a form of resistance to this bullshit. Every day Dems show up to work peacefully is a day lost to fascism

@massive-report.com just finished this weeks pod. I’d like to propose my conspiracy theory to you.

The team is not only inducting somebody into the ring of honor, but they are relocating it inside the stadium. It makes sense to move it now during the construction.

When they buy him down he becomes a TAM roster slot and it uses completely different pay structures. They have to be certain they have all the other pieces before buying him down. DP’s operate outside of normal salary rules for most things so making Nagbe’s new salary fit is more important than a DP

10. My offer would be $18-20mil fee with a 20-30% sell on to Brighton. Let Crew do all of the rehab and they profit. He could very easily be worth $50mil in 3 years if you believe his current valuation.

9. The Cucho Experiment was “come to Columbus, be the best, get in form, go back to Europe”. Evan Ferguson desperately needs form. Columbus plays the system that fits his skillset. Cucho was the perfect blueprint. Get Evan Ferguson to Columbus.

7. The EPL teams that can afford to take a risk to sign him have either already spent on attackers or they may be unwilling to spend on a second striker that hasn’t scored in 7 months.
8. Crew can low ball Brighton on his form and offer a HUGE sell on clause. He’s 20. This isn’t a forever home.

6. He’s in year 4 of a 6 year contract. He’s currently making just under $2mil/season. Crew can double his salary annually and still not be a top 10 spender in MLS. The club wants to compete without buying wins and this aligns with that practice.

5. Brighton have spent well over $200mil building a roster that is currently unable to make any European comps next season. They’re middle of the table. Recouping some funds from a player at his value wouldn’t hurt their current squad outlook.

3. He has not scored since October 26, 2024. He’s very out of form and his $32mil transfermarkt value isn’t holding up. He has promise, but he’s sinking quickly.
4. Brighton has basically moved on from him. Loaned out and competing for minutes with João Pedro is not a good sign for him.

2. With de Zerbi gone he’s been a shell of himself in the new system. So much so that he’s been loaned off to a team barely out of relegation. de Zerbi’s system closely relates to Nancyball. He had his best season of his career with de Zerbi and clearly knows the tactics.

Here’s my case for #Crew96 going big this summer and making waves with a new DP9 signing:

The player in question? Evan Ferguson. 20 year old Ireland international with Brighton (on loan to West Ham).

1. He signed his current (large) contract with Brighton when de Zerbi was manager.

Awful experience. Traffic sucked. The walk to and from the stadium sucked. Bathrooms over crowded. Concourse shoulder to shoulder. Lines so long couldn’t redeem the $20 vouchers. Exposed to the elements. Weather was way worse than the beautiful day in Columbus.

@massive-report.com just listened to the pod. Great stuff as usual! Re: is Gazdag the “big move” - I’m taking his choice to wear #8 and leave the #9 open as a big clarifying detail that a DP 9 is still on the table.

Julian Gressel to DC United is the duo us sickos deserve. Servicing to Benteke would feed families.

@massive-report.com favorite Crew player that wasn’t all that good? Stephen Lenhart. The Lenhart-Marshall set piece duo was legendary.

Take both World Cup matches away from SoFi and LA. Southern California is not friendly territory for USMNT.

The failures of the front office are over 12 months in the making. If Issa doesn’t wake up on the hot seat tomorrow we won’t be a serious club for a long time. Just complete & total mismanagement from the top down. The panic button should’ve been pressed in January ‘23. The signs were there #Crew96
