Can someone create a map of Texas by voting machine type? It would be interesting to see if that was used as a factor?

@davidhogg.bsky.social Your instincts are good. It's time to form a new political party. People are longing for competent leadership and to find their place in politics.

My concern with a nationwide primary, especially a closed primary, is that those voters have little bearing on the general election. Hoorah, Biden won South Carolina and gets the nomination. But South Carolina never votes Dem in the general.

The Democratic party doesn't deserve her. She's a party unto herself, and I want to join it.

Mayday Party. We need a non-oligarch party. The Democratic party is a non-entity in red states. It's not possible to rehab their image. People voted for Trump because they want to see change. We need to offer the change the Dems were unwilling to provide. @50501movement.bsky.social

All Congressional Republicans act as though Trump is holding their grandchildren hostage. There is no other justification for their abject cowardice

Bernie was hugely popular in Idaho in 2016. He offers the change that people think projected to receive from Trump

So many of us turned away at the door. I parked a half mile away, so I can't imagine the number of people who gave up after finding no parking.

Sadly, I think rural America is so decimated they will hardly notice. They went for Trump b/c they didn't think they had anything more to lose.

@adamkinzinger.bsky.social I feel like you might be the only person willing to answer this. Why are the Republicans as a whole so beholden to Trump? Is it truly fear of a primary challenge or is there blackmail involved?

Congress people from both parties are so insular. Their priority is maintaining their positions of privilege rather than serving the people.

Utterly disgusting. They protest at "DEI" hirings, but then elevate a psychopathic, murderous Uber driver to a seemingly legitimate position.

I've never understood our health "insurance" model. I think insurance is for expenses that can't be paid out of pocket. Like car insurance is for accidents. Home insurance for catastrophes. Health insurance should be for hospitalization, cancer, traumatic injuries. Why doesn't it work this way?
