Another question I came here with was: how effective are the whistles and honking? Does it stop abductions? And the answer is, surprisingly to my cynical self, yes, and often. I have talked to so many people who have successfully interrupted kidnappings.

Like.... to be blunt the whole point is to trigger a flight or hide response from those who are likely to be targeted by ICE. The alerting them *is* the harm reduction. 30 seconds can me the difference between escaping and a one way ticket to a hell prison.

I heard some people say to use wax paper for applique, at least for cutting the shapes, but I can't get the paper to adhere to the fabric. Idk why. I've also heard mixed messages about which kitchen wax+paper roll to use. Idk man sewing is weird

I wish I remembered where I bought it from. The options were a teeny bag of it for $[I don't remember] or an entire bolt of it for $[triple digit number]. I didn't realize teeny bag was TEENY

I got some two-sided fusible stuff (I forget what exactly it's called) to help me with applique and there was so little in the package!! I have to applique like 50 little critters to this quilt, and I already ran out of fusible stuff 30 critters in!
