Beating the inspiration addiction as per @drrachelknightley.bsky.social's Writers' Gym means, to me at least, getting down the first thousand words of a short story this morning and knowing I'll come back to it tomorrow (and tomorrow, until it's ready for the world). It's a good feeling :)

Bought 'One Yellow Eye' at EdgeLit after hearing about it at the panel on scaring your audience, and then going up to Leigh and saying hello. She very kindly signed my copy and was just lovely💛 And then I started reading and couldn't put it down. Finished it yesterday, in floods of tears. Loved it.
