Interesting read, with so much detail. Made me think of the rise of "y'all" nationwide (as the country becomes more southern) and the decline of the southern drawl in places like Atlanta (as the south becomes more like the rest of the country).

It's nearly the end of term, so thanks to all the linguists who have appeared on the show this academic year. We've had some great interviews and met some lovely people.
And thanks to all of you for listening. We'll be back in the Autumn term and are getting a few things lined up for then.
