@miskatonicplayhouse.com is worth checking for actual plays of community written content for Call of Cthulhu - a large variety of scenarios that haven't been played elsewhere.

@lightlessbeacons.bsky.social does great long-form scenarios with high production quality.

It was the first time I'd run a session for the majority of these players, and by discussing the safety tools while planning the session and at the start of play we were able to have this conversation during the game. I had already amended the scenario due to a couple of lines highlighted pre-game.

After the session, we discussed with the player whether they wanted us to keep their X card in the game with explanation, just keep their use of the X card, or edit it out. The options was theirs, and they asked us to edit it out.

An example from a 2024 recording was a player using an X card to excuse themself from a scene involving a ouija board. We paused the game, and the player excused themself from the scene, returning in the next.

Fun little project: took receipt of a set of custom dice made by @epoxy-alchemist.bsky.social, based on a vintage Huntley & Palmers Breakfast Biscuits tin. Each die contains a miniature biscuit! Also pictured, two 3D printed 'D2' biscuits.

One of the best parts of coordinating a joint project for publication is seeing how creative everyone is. One of the other best parts is mocking up book covers for tomes that shouldn't exist!
