My view: Want to level the playing field on CVs? Why not have a 5-6 page limit, including one page of personal narrative? Eases the burden on everyone involved and avoids the "longer=better" trap of the CCV.

I can only imagine the impacts this is going to have on adjudication panels facing literally hundreds of pages of narrative CV to comb through for minute detail (7 pages of narrative PER APPLICANT on this call).

As someone who is on day 4 of writing a narrative CV that will only be usable once (tailored to call), don't even get me started on the impacts on researcher time (again worsening biases rather than addressing them).

Finally took the plunge and de-activated the Xitter account after 12+ years of use. Hoping this new platform can offer the kinds of dialogue, sharing and sense of connectedness we used to enjoy "over there"!
