Anderson invoking Steve Jobs is very telling to me—these guys so badly want to be tech tastemakers. They have the capability to make some great vehicles, certainly. But just like Apple’s hubris that it could suddenly make cars, GM is acting like it’s mastered software. I don’t see how.

Can’t stand GM’s modern infotainment in any vehicle I’ve used it in. The icons are gibberish, things that should be instantaneous are buried in sub-menus, and as a result of ignoring CarPlay they have the phone integration of a 2009 Scion. But hey, GM always knows best!

The whole song and dance about how EVs need these integrated experiences was always a justification to be the only logo on the screen. That’s all they ever cared about, not actually putting the best interface in front of customers or at the very least respecting them enough to give them the choice.

God I hate the pressure-sensitive buttons on the DS2, I hate them so much. To the point where I only beat Mission 23 in GT4 (the one with the R34s at Test Course) by switching to a third-party pad (in this case, a Jogcon) that didn’t have them.

It’s wild to me that oftentimes the biggest circulators of literal trash are syndicators like MSN. They’re arguably worse than social media because there’s no comment section to call this shit out, and people ascribe authority to it because it seems like it’s vetted by a legit, trusted site.
