When my partner or I are faced with doing some task that has to get done but aren't yet sure exactly how, we call it a "(waves hands in the air above head) job" referencing A Charlie Brown Christmas where the kids surround the shitty xmas tree in a flurry of arm waving and somehow make it perfect.

The notion my dad is in a skilled nursing facility rather than resting comfortably at home, to "game" the Treasury, is so offensive I struggle to type this.

Is it me, or is the example sentence here deliberately confusing?

I'm wondering if it's meant to be a set up for a future episode where someone suggests to her she could have just asked them to change the message. I don't think it's a plot hole, but I do think it's intended to bug the audience.

When new people are in charge (regardless of party), anyone in government who says "we need to just move on from this ugliness" and fails to hold those in the current regime accountable and sent to prison, should themselves be held accountable and maybe sent to prison.

The human lives, money, & time wasted on constantly humoring this impetuous child-President as his cohorts ransack the country is nauseating. We'll literally need new laws written to protect the country because it's no longer a given that decency & honor will be the default of future presidents.

I used to think as centuries passed, the human population as a whole got smarter based on social benefits of better technology. Nope. There's curious people who develop good technology, and there's masses of idiots blissfully benefiting from it, always. There're still people who don't use seatbelts.

I sincerely love, love, love how our little small town public library in red North Idaho now has the GIGANTIC Batman Year One Artist's Edition. So rad.

Agree 100%. The lack of chemistry between the leads, PLUS the fact that Valerian was sort of a sex pest to Laureline gave it an ick factor that I don't believe was intended. Lot of side quest missions in the story but overall fun and entertaining. Just ordered a physical copy last month as well.
