She/Her. Bedhead connoisseur. Me: Arty, crafty, shill for the 'Take Your Vitamin D. You're In England' corporation. Don't tolerate T.R.A.S.H. Staunchly feminist. Chronically ill, disabled. Cat assisted. I make beautiful things. Slowly.

Did you break it by undercooking your frozen food?

Shaded pencil sketch of a tall, thin, feminine bodied person. There's a suggestion of a piece of fabric being pulled behind them, between their hands. I haven't decided what to do with the setting yet.
The reference pic I'm working from, provided by TrueRef. A tall, slim woman in a bikini is holding the ties of the bikini bottoms out with her shoulders and elbows pushed back, her hips and head tilted. You can see I'm not *accurate*. I've made some artistic choices and my head tilt needs work but...
I used to draw exclusively from memory and imagination because references inevitably went wrong.
In the last few years my eyes and hands clearly had a meeting and agreed to collaborate because I keep being shocked.
A work in progress still, but ๐ฏ look at what I can do now!

Because you've had therapy and have language for it?
Either way, that's a really uncomfortable place and I'm sorry.
Lots of big books ๐
Some are graphic novels and larger format books, others are TOMES.
George Martin, Jilly Cooper, that kind of thing.
Two cardboard boxes taped closed. It's a really boring photo but I scanned easily 60 or so books and only 23 were accepted, most at a few pence each. I'm getting about ยฃ12 for the lot. Better than landfill or recycling for these babies at least.
Not as many as I'd like to be sending but I've finally boxed up some books to trade in.
Still don't know what to do with the ones even the internet book resellers won't take. Charity shops rarely take them and now the tip aren't accepting books for recycling either! I'll check again though.
It was a very 'sorry you felt that way' corporate nothing imo.
Plus, if jk wants something, I'll do the opposite out of the assumption it's probably the morally just thing.
FARTs are ruining things for everybody

That's some Good Day shit right there!
This one will sneak up on ya.

From Dust
Actually, if anybody wants to make a geologically slanted god sim so I can play with weather patterns and water sources and shape planets and stuff? I'll probably buy it three times like I did From Dust to keep accessing it over the years.
Ohhhhhhhhh. I think I understand now!
You're also on the 'we thought that people actually give 100% effort when they say they gave it everything' spectrum which means you've worked a lot bloody harder than a massive percentage of the population despite the struggle.
But you did really struggle.
There's nothing interesting to be gotten from or about genAI.

While I was out today on errands I stopped at the library to check out their physical media audiobooks and speak to a person.
It's closed on weds. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐
I don't understand any of it.

I just woke up. I'd like to say refreshed but that's a bit strong ๐
I'm a very silly goose.
I've been pottering about for the last two days. Gently doing chores and whatnot, and not needed a nap.
Today I had to leave the house and run some errands.
I'm very tired and need a nap. Quite normal for me.
BUT I DON'T WANNA
*KICKS FEET ABOUT*
Ok. I go now.
Me remembering how they treated Hilary Clinton for having literal pneumonia...

It's very rude of them.
The only hope it gives me is that capitalism, which I think is what their power is tied into, has to collapse.
That's not only a faint hope, but it will be catastrophic. I'm not sure it can hold up now that the USA government is trying to siphon off itself.
Humanity?
It's up to us I think.
Yeah I think it's a shame there's no request option on the app.
Maybe if I do it the old old fashioned way, the librarian will especially like me?
The more I find out about game design, the more cynical I get about a lot of them.
I'll just have to follow you until you retire I guess ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Thank you.
I'm trying to remind myself that it's because audiobook licences are expensive and I assume don't just continue to exist the way books do once bought.
But basically no real Anne Rice, no Dresden Files, a couple of Sanderson novellas and no Robert Jordan?
What are we doing here?
It's curiosity, sure, but it's also in inviting each other to share, in being available for emotional labour that we form bonds of intimacy outside of sex and build support networks.
I'm going that by starting to talk about the missing links, some of those men will try them out.
Absolutely. I've been trying to unpack the practical steps that reinforce it and the truth is usually in the tropes. Like not understanding why 'women want all the tea'.
