COPIES OF VERMIN HAVE ARRIVED! You know what that means: time to play at booktography while spreading my monstera mites to every plant in the apartment.
(never let it be said I cannot multitask)
As hard as it is for me to cope with his absence, I am glad to have been able to prevent the pain that was coming for him.
You will always be my special boy. We found each other on a little street and had delightful year together. Not enough, but already so much love and fun.
A profile view of a lynx point cat, looking at the distance over a small river, pebbles and rocks on the ground, green bushes on the background, on a rising terrain
It's been 9 days since I had to let him go, and it's so hard. He was that special cat, a tiny surprise I stumbled upon only a year ago. We were supposed to have years and years together, not to go to the vet one morning only to for him to be dead by the evening.
20.09.2025 16:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've seen comments about "Witch king" by Martha Wells complaining about how we are dropped into a world and a story without all the informations. But to me it felt purposeful, with enough material to understand the gist of things + a promise of having the right info when needed
19.09.2025 17:06 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Very good question, one I don't have a definitive answer for I think.
But I'd that an author who gives you *some* information and retain others, an author who paints a deep sense of place with clues you can pick up upon to guess at some informations does a lot for my trust
Doesn't bother at all, as long as I have a feeling the author is working on the background to slowly feed me the necessary information. If I have the trust, I enjoy being dropped into a story and being a little lost

A cover illustrated by James Fenner. A woman with long red hair and padded clothing sits on the ground, petting the head of a smiling serpentine dragon. But the dragon has more than one head! On the left, a second giant dragon head emerges, frowning, looking at her while wearing a monocle. On the right, a third giant dragon head emerges, jaws wide, screaming in anger. The text is teal, contrasting sharply against the red and maroon of the creatures. The text on the cover reads "THE DRAGON HAS SOME COMPLAINTS. JOHN WISWELL, author of the Nebula and Locus Award-winning SOMEONE YOU CAN BUILD A NEST IN."
Unveiling the cover for THE DRAGON HAS SOME COMPLAINTS!
Garrodigh is a curmudgeonly three-headed dragon who pretends to be tame so he can eat for free at the local dragon-riding academy. Unfortunately, the rider he's assigned to is... a lot.
Coming Summer 2026 from DAW (US) and Arcadia (UK)!
Level 8 portrait of Victoro, finally with his Raven boy <3
Curse of Strahd / She is the Ancient campaign.

BLOOD publishes today! π§π»ββοΈπ¦ππ©Έ Iβm feeling as if Iβm on a rollercoaster, speeding (and looping) through several different emotions, the most prominent of which are fear and incredulous happiness. But Iβm also proud of BLOOD and canβt wait for you to read it or listen to it.
