I agree. It was super weird to see people using Grok to create memes making fun of the richest man in the world. That is not irony. That is feeding him with what he wants, your time and energy, plus you are advertising for his product. There are more creative ways to make content.

This "wait and see" attitude amongst people who are not currently badly affected is how we got here, so I am honestly no longer ever seriously talking about serious things with such unserious people. I still chat with them about unserious topics, in a friendly and respectful manner though.

Truthfully, I think Bluesky is doing a great job managing bots, as people, or countries, or companies, seem to create waves of them fairly often, for their own reasons which remain unclear. I have seen this on every other platform that I have ever used. So, it is not new, or easily preventable.

Along that line, it is not my personal choice to get notifications that include memes, but there seems to be no way around that currently either. Bots tend to post memes for a reason, and sometimes the reason is to spread bad ideas and sometimes the reason is to spread viruses.

I do wish there was a way to block accounts without actually opening their pages, because I do think it might reduce that problem if it is being spread by large numbers of bots with memes. That is, of course, conjecture. I have no idea what is causing it specifically at this time.

This was a common problem on MySpace, Facebook, and many other social media sites going back a long time. So, it is really not something wrong with Bluesky. People who make viruses have different goals, but sometimes they do aim to decrease functionality for those they do not like.

It is in settings, network and internet, advanced network settings, internet options, general, delete, then there are options including cookies... That is how I do that on my operating system. It is a few steps, which makes one wonder if the makers of the OS do not want you to ever do that...

I think he is gradually convincing him that he is insane though, and his plans are hurting them which they feel. There are limits to loyalty. I think they will never be Democrats, but they may allow the Vice President to take over instead of having a demented leader destroy everything for everyone.

It is wise to remember that scrolling through many memes can produce computer viruses that may cause decreased functionality to your computer. It is a common practice on social media platforms for people to create viruses that do bad stuff. It is best to delete your history and cookies sometimes.

It really is insane. There are some people who think he is sane and evil, but I think his mental deterioration is obvious and increasing. It seems like a worst-case scenario to have an evil person lose their mind, become untethered from reality, and begin punishing people for imaginary offenses.

Protecting their constituents is their job that their constituents elected them to do. It is wise for Americans to support governors, mayors, citizens, and immigrants who are targets of a mentally deteriorating President who has become untethered from reality and is now doing insanely bad things.

The best way to get beyond the "it's just politics" mentality is to avoid framing our current crisis as left vs. right and instead frame it as decency vs. indecency.

Putting Surgeon General's warnings on this man seems like it might reduce the damage he does, like the Surgeon General's warnings on cigarettes and alcohol sometimes do. Maybe they could get him to agree to wear a warning sticker on his forehead, or something. His resignation is a better solution.

Yeah. That is bad. I had a pretty serious problem like that too. I just deleted the internet history and cookies and that fixed it. Must be a virus from any one of the many memes circulating or something like that. Not everybody on the internet is meaning well, as always.

Oh. That was my bad. My spell check system involves posting, and rereading the posts for typos, then occasionally deleting the ones where I spell words wrong or use poor phrasings that read badly. I deleted that one because I spelled Bluesky wrong! I am not perfect with typing... Just did it again!

Really? I never use them on Bluesky, but I think most people on here do. Is it specific to your account, or a widespread issue with the whole system? I had some glitchy issues that decreased functionality on here considerably a few days ago, but deleting all cookies and internet files fixed it.

It is completely unacceptable for the President of the United States to jail a mayor, or a governor, or in fact any citizen of our country for committing absolutely no crimes of any kind. That insane statement suggests that the President has mentally deteriorated beyond all acceptable parameters.

Mike Johnson really needs to swear in the new Congressmember today, so that the vote to release the files can occur today. 80 percent of Americans want that. After that release which a bipartisan populace seems to want almost uniformly, then some negotiations to fund the government make sense.

As someone who used to do a lot of photography back in the day, who used to get people to sign releases to use the images of them for commercial purposes, I am pretty certain that the law is pretty clear about how you are allowed to photograph and film in public spaces for noncommercial purposes.
