This is my first Bluesky post. Just starting to transition away from X while not giving up on it yet, but it’s such a delightful change not to be bombarded with ads and right wing trolls in the comments

I was already a big Kiyoshi Kurosawa fan but this year I dug deeper into his filmography than ever before. Also several previously unseen films by Hiroshi Shimizu, Catherine Breillat, Marguerite Duras, and revisiting many Powell/Pressburger, Johnnie To and Luis Buñuel films
