One of my most conservative takes is that aspiring to extreme wealth is a motivator of a lot of socially useful behavior and that many of the problems we have with the wealthy are because we have allowed the pathways for them to trade wealth for honor to atrophy.

I remember reading back in my degree that it was a terror weapon. You didn't just see your comrade hit and killed, you saw him hit repeatedly and his body destroyed.

When you write it down. See similar mythbusters line about the difference between science and screwing around is writing it down.

It's a commonly told story with very little evidence. In the UK it probably has more to do with the first schools for general education copying the older universities' calendar and how impossible it was to keep wealthy families in stinking towns in summer.

There is very much a bias against in UK universities. They just haven't been able to kill it off

A key question I ask. Is government useless/stupid/morally wrong/a dick? Can often answer yes. However the important thing is if I am able to ask and answer that question then we are still 'the good guys'. I'm in the UK. It's about helping people of Bradford identify themselves with the natural space. For similar see Plymouth Sound National Marine Park which is actively trying to get more people to be both responsible environmentally and identify with it. E.g. Many don't even go to the beach where they live.

During the 2020 lockdown a colleague asked me how managed it with my kids. I said I didn't. They're smart enough to see the hypocrisy. So I concentrate on the media they consume not the medium they consume by.

Ahh... The 3rd Ed #WH40K vehicle design rules. I caught 90's internet forum hate for the #DarkEldar Rampage. It was odd because I was just demonstrating an extreme #Drukhari vehicle build.

Although the vehicle shredded Land Raiders in our play-tests 😁
