Any new tech will give and take away. But AI is a creativity killer. It’s a scab crossing the picket line.

It also made the powers that be more expectant. Faster, cheaper labor. More output, stagnant budgets. You could get as much for a middle grade cover in the early 90s as you can now. It might be less, actually.

Here are my thoughts on photoshop 25 plus years after it revolutionized commercial art:

It made things faster, more efficient. Easier to cheat, make shortcuts. Made it so people like me could thrive in a creative field.
