Here's the low-down:
βοΈ 4 days in central London - always on a Friday and always followed by a social
βοΈ 2 online check-ins to see how people are getting on
βοΈ Half in the summer term and half in the autumn term, so it bestrides the summer
So I'm absolutely delighted to have teamed up with Hywel to create a new professional learning programme called 'Implementing Botheredness'.
It combines Hywelβs work around the pedagogy of botheredness with the practical tools of implementation and improvement science.
But understanding how to get students really invested in their learning is one thing.
Making it happen as a part of routine practice is quite another.
That's why I've been so excited to learn about @hywelroberts.bsky.social work around the pedagogy of #Botheredness.
If there's one book I wish I'd had when I started teaching, this is it.
βI wish they were more motivated to learnβ
But what if we don't need a magic wand?
What if it's possible to teach in such a way that students develop these qualities?

"What's the one thing you'd change about your learners?"
Over the years I've asked this question to 1000's of teachers and school leaders.
The answer is *almost always* a variation on a theme:

βI wish they were more resilientβ
