Trump-proof the BBC The BBC is our national broadcaster, we must defend it against those who want to destroy it.

Lots of sport and none of it spoiled by West Ham. Perfect.
Have a great day 😁

A story in Private Eye, headlined "Minority representation on TV causes outrage". The article reads: "There has been widespread support for prominent Reform MP Sarah Pochin after she complained about the over-representation of minorities on television.

Said one angry viewer, "She's right. Every time you turn on the telly there's another Reform MP being interviewed by Laura Kuenssberg."

She added, "I respect their way of life and their strange customs, but Reform MPs comprise only 0.7 percent of the House of Commons. Yet Nigel Farage is on Question Time more than Fiona Bruce."

"I'm not prejudiced. Some of my best friends are swivel-eyed loons, but enough is enough. There are too many people with angry red faces on television."

The only bit of Martin Samuel’s article that is accurate is

“This is a stupid football club, making stupid decisions and it has done for too long”

The stadium, occasional European game aside, is not fit for use.

The club owners should apologise for their awful decisions and step down asap

At this point watching anything other than West Ham is advisable.
Anyone got any suggestions for Friday night TV?

Supporters group Hammers United, who staged last night's successful boycott of the Brentford fixture have announced details of the next event in their series of anti-board protests - a sit-in following the home clash with Newcastle at the beginning of next month.

The morning after…..
Abject from West Ham
Club is rotten on and off the pitch.
Players stealing a living.
Owners stealing a history and a culture .
Selection was questionable at best and suicidal at worst
Derby’s 12 point record is under serious threat
Time to change

The ever knowledgeable Sky Sports website says West Ham’s fans should be pleased that Nuno is giving youth a chance by playing Scarles and Irving 🤣

Everyone makes their own choice but for me it’s boycott the game.
BS rely on the fans not being up for a fight.
As professional players the team should be strong enough to play in any circumstances.
If they blame a boycott for a poor performance it will say a lot about them as individuals

SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.

My daughter is 28 with an MA degree. Salary is £27k a year (NHS). Average house prices locally are £300k. It’s not stamp duty that stops her buying a property it’s the low income and high property costs that prohibits a purchase. Cutting stamp duty only helps the higher earners looking to upsize.
