Or if you like music a little rawer, the 1986 Reading festival performance "rude bootleg" is great.

Interested in most things , but posts are most likely to be Kent birding related.

10.02.2026 08:26 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I had been wondering how long it would take before the beaver backlash began... i story is about "illegal releases" but unclear how much of this is going on, as opposed to natural population increase/dispersal. NFU wants option of culling.

31.01.2026 20:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This stretch of track at the western end of King's Wood sure is a lowlight of my winter bird survey route. Not a single species recorded in 3 visits!
14.01.2026 14:13 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ho ho. Based on their pre-bluetail-twitch post on FB, seeking locations for other Kent stuff to mop up, pretty sure I can guess who that was...

02.01.2026 20:15 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I pick out episodes in random order (usually whilst washing up). Yesterday it was 126 "For Your Love", which left me wanting to say I found the barely disguised disdain for Clapton (and the idea of Dave Brock teaching him guitar) v droll. HNY!
31.12.2025 14:39 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Erotic Vagrancy sure is a marmite book. I didn't get v far beyond the prologue and thought it was abysmal. Baffled that S Fry and M Hyde endorsed on the cover.

18.11.2025 02:09 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Tangent here. What happened to the mid-price pocket camera with a serviceable 20x zoom? Now seems little in the market between a phone and the "hey, I'm a tourist" cumbersome ยฃ400+ brick.
06.11.2025 08:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I support PR but with those %s, under PR a Reform/Con coalition looks the most likely outcome, so it's far from being a magic wand. Still need to shift the actual voting (hard to believe Con still have 17.5% ,mind)
15.09.2025 07:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0If the plans included a large battery storage facility then the risk of fire (with extremely toxic fumes) is real, I'm afraid.
09.09.2025 16:19 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Bomis Prendin. My most obscure LP (arguably with good reason), if omitting people I know personally. Just googled and he/they are still putting stuff out on bandcamp/YouTube, so A+ for perseverance!
09.09.2025 13:07 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thanks for flagging. Good companion piece to the The Big Year movie. Apart from anything else, the shots of the actual birds were exquisite.

23.08.2025 06:57 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Cley pt3. #Norfolkbirding main reedbed looks in need in management. One huge very dense mat at the moment, no channels except around perimeter, just a couple of small pools. Dipped on Water Rail despite several visits, and hardly any warblers showing there (it's late in season, but even so..).
21.08.2025 12:04 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Cley & Brecks pt2. #Norfolkbirding Recommend the little pond in the Bower area of Sheringham Park. Before the human crowds arrived it was buzzing with woodland birds , 12 sp visited inc. Nuthatch and both 'crests. East Wretham Heath had Redstart, LRPs and several Spot Fly among the highlights.
21.08.2025 11:48 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Back from a few days around Cley and the Brecks - Pt1 . Bittern showed exceptionally well along the river at Lakenheath RSPB (most other feeding areas dried up). Found a Wryneck, but location wasn't suitable for twitchers/toggers so left it in peace. No skuas seen on seawatches. #Norfolkbirding

06.08.2025 05:59 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Kids have forever complained that learning academic subjects is pointless. What happens, first to the education system and then to wider society, if that actually becomes true, because there are no careers in science, writing, maths etc?
04.08.2025 09:01 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think that in the UK this look is still considered creepy, associated with Jimmy Saville and "medallion man" (going completely topless is fine though)
