Is seeing the X app on the home screen of someone's phone a red flag?

Yes, absolutely. It allows a person to expose themselves to so many more books than they would have available otherwise. Additionally, to say that reading text is the only way to enjoy a book is incredibly exclusionary to people with various physical and neurodiversity configurations.

I grew up going to Broadview's pool and riding my bike through these neighborhoods. Watching this happen has been heartbreaking.

On the debate about audiobooks being reading, I side with practicality. I have read four books on paper this year and I have read over 40 books in audio form this year. I am doing far more reading and exposing myself to far more ideas because I have access to the audio medium.
