There's a lot of skill expression in the deckbuilder and definitely some in the sequencing and actual play. It is very heavily overshadowed by the impact of randomness though, as a lot of the game's interactions have less to do with outplaying and more to do with getting less unlucky than the opp.

i just like using monkey + froslass because it lets you always apply munkidori pressure even if your opponent goes all in on one shots, and it punishes a lot of the ex bench sitters in the game rn
