Good news! I experienced this about 40 years ago and Iβll never forget how I felt when I saw her walking up the porch steps.

07.04.2025 01:13 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Lovely bear and a lovely sweater. That would be a great idea for a grandchild. Thanks for posting!
07.04.2025 01:10 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A hat which will end up double-layered, hand knit in stripes of socks yarn.
Two rustic yarns in dark brown and blue, being made into a hat. It is done in stockinette but purled inside out Portugese style. The yarn is from a small sheep farm and mill in Canada, Long Way Homestead.
Two of my works in progress. The first is a striped Musselburgh hat using leftover sock yarns. The second is also a hat, the βSipβ pattern. Itβs a very nice stranded colourwork hat and Iβm making it inside out to practice Portuguese knitting. I took classes recently. #showmeyourknits π§Ά

Baby hats for baby week. The Clayoquot Toque and the Barley, both patterns by Tin Can Knits. The Clayoquot was knit with yarn leftover from other projects and the Barley was made with Berroco Vintage. #showmeyourknits π§Ά

30.03.2025 21:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I started with 2 balls of Schoppel Wolle Zauerball in the same colourway, and made a pair of socks for myself. I alternated balls for each stripe. I did the same thing for the child and made one extra because socks go missing (a dog that likes to steal) and I have enough left to darn holes.
30.03.2025 20:56 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I originally had two balls of the same colourway which I made socks for myself with, using the two balls at the same time. I continued for the toddler socks. Itβs a German yarn, Schoppel Wolle Zauerball that has a super long repeat and is partly marled. Iβll start adding yarn info in alt!

Not quite baby knits, more like toddler knits. My granddaughter saw my socks and said βI want rainbow socks too!β So I knit her a pair and a spare. #showmeyourknits π§Ά

28.03.2025 20:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A pair of hand knit socks. Two colours alternate every two stitches. After 1.75 inches the two colours are changed to new ones. Six colours in total are used.

The Shiftalong hat by Andrea Mowry, mosaic colourwork using slipped stitches and only one colour per row. Her patterns are usually done with bright colours but I used neutrals. The dark yarn shifts black, dark brown, dark grey. #showmeyourknits π§Ά
