Wishing you a restorative break π
10.02.2026 01:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oof! That's really frustrating π―
01.02.2026 17:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I presume their tour is being organized by an events management team, and that is probably the "why" for the ticket pricing. It's not about the amount, it's about the currency.
01.02.2026 16:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Since all that says is that Norwegians are coming to Canada, all to more reason to set ticket prices in CAD or even Norwegian Kroner. Le sigh π
01.02.2026 16:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I noticed that too this morning. Hard no from me as well.
01.02.2026 14:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you! Painfully, yes, it was intarsia. Definitely not my favourite technique to do, but the vest for my hubby did turn out great.
01.02.2026 14:03 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A slightly fuzzy medium grey cropped raglan pullover with rows on black squares all over. Pattern: Pixel Pullover by Claudia Quintanilla. Yarn: Drops Air.
A light grey vest with black and white argyle pattern up both sides of the front on a bright red backdrop. Knit way back in 2008! Pattern: Argyle Vest by Veronik Avery.
Grey π©Ά you say? Besides every boring grey hat I've knit for the men in my family, here are a few more fun grey items for #showmeyourknits. Details in alt text.

31.01.2026 19:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Best wishes for a quick recovery for your son β€οΈβπ©Ή
31.01.2026 19:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I love the idea of unsuspecting folks discovering an adorable knit sting ray on a cruise ship!
31.01.2026 19:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A tired dog is a happy dog and that sleeve looks wonderful!
25.01.2026 20:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A cream coloured scarf/hood draped over an individual with a heart emoji over their face for privacy. Pattern: Hakuba Hooded scarf by Yoko Johnston
My most recent garter stitch project for this week's #showmeyourknits was this squishy hooded scarf for my son's partner. Pattern in alt text.

Glad to be of service!
21.01.2026 12:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's a fun skill to try out. I say go for it!
18.01.2026 23:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Your dexterity is like wearing oven mitts, but the heavenly feeling of soft roving surrounding your hands is worth it! Also, over time the thrums felt a little on the inside which makes them more manageable.
18.01.2026 23:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Agree, that level of floof and colour is a little insane in all the best ways!
18.01.2026 14:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I made those thrummed mitts as a gift. One day I would love to make them again, only keep them this time!
18.01.2026 14:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A pair of thrummed mittens with one inside out to show the fluffy innards. The mittens are black with thrums in a rainbow progression of colours. Pattern: family thrummed mittens
A pair of black and white mittens with a panda sitting among bamboo motif. Pattern: reverse panda mittens
A pair of chartreuse and cream mittens with a geometric pattern on a black background. Pattern: coin slot mittens

That yarn combo is amazing π
I would have never thought to put those two yarns together.
I loathe duplicate stitch, so this was so worth it for me too. I found the key was just keeping each of the 3 balls in their own position and maintaining the same colour dominance throughout and there was no twisting and tangling of the yarns.
10.01.2026 18:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Don't mind me crying over here. What a beautiful story πβ€οΈ
10.01.2026 13:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks! I'd love to see your hat too! I don't know about you, but the 3 colours per row was less of a big deal than I thought it would be.
10.01.2026 13:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A handknit colourwork toque knit in brown, cream and espresso colours modeled on our handy non-binary π³οΈββ§οΈ head model, Jordan. Pattern: Tundra Toque by Saskie&Co
It's #FOFriday and also time to sneak in a few more firsts for this week's #showmeyourknits theme. First FO of 2026 and first time knitting with 3 colours in the same row.

Lol! You are very sweet! We only have my mother's hoarding (or she would say preservation) skills to thank for this little gem.
05.01.2026 02:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A short handknit scarf knit by a child. The scarf is cream and has a few bands of pastel variegated yarn at each end. There are several holes and loose strands.
Another photo of the handknit scarf which showcases some mysterious increases (or is it decreases?) somewhere in the middle.
This week's #showmeyourknits wants knitting firsts for the new year. I unceremoniously present my first ever FO, a scarf I knit when I was about 7 years old. It's no wonder I didn't pick up the needles again for decades ππ§Ά#knitsky
Also, thanks Mom for saving this for me π€
Gorgeous π
03.01.2026 17:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In full knitted regalia as a knitter friend of mine used to say. The more hand knit items at once the better!
03.01.2026 17:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks! It's a truly fantastic pattern.
03.01.2026 03:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you! I really enjoyed the pattern and I'm sure I'll knit it again sometime.
02.01.2026 02:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A colourwork hat with a light grey background and deep red snowflake type of pattern on a hairdressing head model.
Final knit of 2025. The lovely North Star Hat by Gabrielle Vezina just finished today.
