The storage tech is evolving but is a long way from being viable as an alternative to non-renewable forms of power. It’s taking an enormous risk to bet your future on a technology not proven at scale, whereas nuclear is tried and tested.

May I suggest you don’t assume which media I subscribe to. This isn’t Twitter, we can behave like grown-ups. There is no technology that can store power from renewables that would enable us to smooth out energy supply/demand spikes.

Yes, I get that, but the party political system in Scotland is first and foremost split down pro and anti independence lines. In a general election Scottish unionist voters will vote for the candidate most likely to shut out the SNP.

Polling on social and economic views north and south of the border suggests broad commonality. The political structures are completely different and hence the popularity of any given party is not uniform.

There is plenty anti-English sentiment on social media from Indy accounts. So it’s hardly surprising English people living in England may feel that way.

Strongly agree, but sadly I can’t see it happening unless Franco Smith decides he wants the job and isn’t going to wait.
