It’s infuriating the priorities are so glaring. Massive handouts to foreign leaders or billionaires, while everyday Americans get crushed by rising costs and health care they can barely afford. It’s like watching a government whose loyalty is everywhere but where it’s actually needed.

It’s long past time for the hostages to come home, to stop the bombing in Gaza, to surge humanitarian aid, and to negotiate a two-state solution and lasting peace. I pray that this is the last anniversary where families in the region are unable to be reunited with their loved ones.

Partisan gerrymanders may be legal, but only because SCOTUS said so. They are anti-democratic measures used by a party that fears losing power to hold onto control, a mechanism that lets parties choose their voters instead of letting voters choose who will represent them.

So Speaker Johnson gave the congress another week off. Paid of course, while they shut the govt down.

The GOP has made it clear they have no interest in compromise with Dems. So they will have to figure how to reopen their govt that they closed.

And they get another vacation
