I don't know if it is necessary at all to use special nylon bonding adhesive if I pretreat the nylon with plasma.

I ordered more TA4550 from what appears to be a more reputable vendor. Perhaps it will bond successfully, perhaps not.

I need to bond to Nylon 6/6 (PA). I tried ordering some Permabond TA4550 off of Amazon. The product I got did not set up at all. The two part acrylic adhesive was all soft and covered in a residue. I think I bought super expired stock. The vendor disappeared from Amazon.

I had used aluminum oxide as a blasting medium, but always referred to the process as "media blasting" and not "sand blasting." I assumed that "sand" paper was still silicon based. Lo, it was another misnomer that I had yet to escape.

TIL that most sand paper, or emery cloth, uses aluminum oxide (corundum) as an abrasive and not silicon carbide (carborundum).
Aluminum oxide is what makes up rubies and sapphires, and is mostly harmless, as far as we know.
Silicon carbide is a popular choice for semiconductors, and causes silicosis

An interesting point from a reddit discussion about this: cats cannot comprehend 3d geometry to the point where an illusion like this would make sense to them, and even if they could, the cat was at the wrong perspective point to get the illusion. This is a common type of AI video apparently.
